On Monday 7th September Rt Hon David Miliband MP visited Westminster City School following the completion of the new Waterlow building at the school.
The Foreign Secretary was met by Head Teacher David Maloney plus a student cohort who led the tour of the building.
Representatives from Westminster City Council, the Local Education Partnership, Partnerships for Schools and Bouygues UK were also present to provide information regarding the Building Schools for the Future programme and knowledge on design and construction.
The group stopped at various departments including the ICT suite, the sixth form study room, the activity/drama studio, the sports hall and the music rooms/recording suite. There was also a visit to the old building, which is currently under refurbishment, to view the newly restored school hall.
The visit was concluded with a few words to the students by the Foreign Secretary.
