On Monday 13th October twelve teachers from Pimlico Academy attended a presentation at the site offices of Bouygues UK which are located next to the school.
Robel Sertzu who manages the site talked to the teachers about the building of their new school from the constructor’s perspective, providing information about the various processes used, relevant timelines and an idea of what to expect upon completion in terms of space and facilities.
The teachers then had the opportunity to visit the site allowing Mr Sertzu to talk about the activities which were occurring around them.
The feedback from the group was positive. The teachers claimed that the presenter delivered an informative briefing and that the tour was controlled at all times with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. The teachers also found it beneficial to see some of the processes which were taking place at the time of their visit and as a result came away with a little bit more knowledge and understanding not to mention a clear feel for the shape of the building.
This was an important visit for the teachers as the buildings will ultimately be handed back to them as their teaching area, place of work, and the environment where they will educate and prepare their pupils for life beyond secondary school.
The event was a success; many thanks to Robel Sertzu for taking the time to deliver this important information to the teachers of Pimlico Academy.
